The Brazilian enjoyed an incredible first season on Merseyside after becoming an immediate starter for Jürgen Klopp 's side, initially wearing the No.
Alisson played every minute of the Reds' domestic campaign and made history when he became the club's first goalkeeper to win the Premier League Golden Glove award in more than a decade after recording 21 clean sheets.
The stopper was also crucial in helping Liverpool win the Champions League for the sixth time. He preserved the Reds' spot in the knockout stages of the competition with a crucial late save against Napoli on matchday six back in December Alisson was then impenetrable in the Madrid final, making a series of interventions to deny Tottenham Hotspur as Klopp's men won I expect Grujic, Wilson, Larouci, and either Origi or Brewster to all either be sold or loaned by the end of the window.
Honestly unless he has openly said he wants to go I fail to see why we would sell him. Hes good enough to start at another solid club. Oh hes done that.
Hes got a legacy at a huge club. I'm just saying, if it's me im tryna start every game. I know, right? Teams need role players.
Would sooner get rid of Shaq than Origi if we need to trim the squad. Origi always comes up big for us, and we need guys who can score from the bench for depth.
He did remarkably little in his appearances last season. I like the guy and would keep him around but it's not a crazy idea to sell him.
Jesus you people would give a lifelong contract to someone for scoring one or two important goals. He scored one of the most important goals ever dude.
Corner taken quickly is legendary. Why does everyone hate Origi? I get that. I appreciate the goal he scored and the highlight will live forever.
That doesn't make him a world-class striker Barcelona was twiddling their thumbs. TAA could have picked out my grandma and she would have scored past seal-flapping ter Stegen.
You can't just keep people in a squad forever for sentimental reasons. This is the first year I actually see it.
We've bought someone to be backup for Firmino Minamino and someone for the wings Jota. That leaves less minutes for him. I don't see the point of sending him out on loan, but a sale would make sense if there was a good bid.
Especially considering the financial impact of the pandemic. Personally I think he would make great sense for Wolves if they'd sold Jimenez.
Origi is different because he provides a different set of tactical options than the front three. That can be invaluable when an opponent has countered the front three and requires a return to the drawing board.
The question is how often he'll be used if Minamino and Jota work out as intended. I'm not sure he'll be able to provide anything if he plays so rarely that he never gets any real game fitness.
This is the best argument for not having an unnecessarily big squad — fringe players don't get game time so whenever they actually get on the pitch they look a bit off and no one has any fun.
If that wasn't a thing I'd be happy with keeping Wilson and Grujic as well. But I don't think it's a good idea to have a massive squad full of players who don't get a look in.
I don't think he's going, but I think it would be best if he did. He'll happily score 20 goals a season for someone, but not in this team.
I don't think he'd score 20 anywhere, 15 at a push in a good season and definitely not all 15 in the league. He's a 10 goal a season striker for me, but lucky for us those goals come when we need them most.
If he's happy to be super sub I'm more than happy to keep him. If he can score for us playing 30 minutes every other match, why can't he score 20 for someone else as a starter?
Because its different when you are coming on in the last 30 mins against already tired legs in defence and when you are a starting striker that defences prepare for.
Best example is Ihenacho, for city he was coming on last and always scoring, at LCFC he cant get a game unless Vardy is injured and he scored like 10 goals in the last 3 seasons.
Edit: Im not saying this would happen to Origi or that he cant score 15 a season at another club, just answering your question.
Divock is only leaving if the Brewster rumours are the club feeling journalists fake info across the country to mislead people.
I think people just expect him to go elsewhere so he can be a 1st choice starter, especially given we now have two more options for forward positions in Minamino and Jota.
Honestly, i'm happy to have him in the squad and if he's happy being an understudy then that's sound. Top level teams usually want two players for every position, which means 6 attackers, and the club obviously isn't getting rid of Salah, Mane, Firmino, Taki, or Jota.
There's probably not much point in having more than one extra attacker, and currently we have Origi, Shaq, Brewster, Wilson, and Elliott.
Brewster and Wilson look to be heading out, and Elliott probably isn't ready, so that just leaves Shaq and Origi. I reckon the club would be willing to listen to offers for either of them and probably ship out the one that gets more interest.
Why in the world would we sell the clutch genius that is Origi. He doesn't complain and make big goals. As long as he's happy we should keep him.
Oh you mean when he was 19 and unproven and hadn't scored a ton of super important goals for Liverpool yet and it made complete sense to send him on loan?
Don't be thick. No, I mean when he was 22, had been at Liverpool 3 years, and started many games upfront, then went to Wolfsburg for a whole season until Fair I forgot about Wolfsburg, but the point is he's a completely different player now and I feel pretty strongly he won't leave until he wants to leave, and it won't be another loan.
I know a department seems likely but Grujic is a fkn amazing player honestly dunno why so few people see it. His potential is kinda unlimited.
Larouci's rejection of a new deal all but confirms his interest in moving albeit to a Championship team instead of a Premier League one.
Origi, however, is only going to move for a really good offer given that all of the other players on the bench of that position are either still adapting Minamino , inexperienced Jones, Elliot , or inconsistent Shaqiri.
Last year of his contract and he said he isn't resigning. Wants to get playing time, fair enough. I like crugic a lot, hoping he could transition into a Centre Back.
Great Athlete. Always scores in pre season, never got a fair crack. Then I reread your comment and realized I was completely wrong Don't think OP was blaming the club.
Hope a return to Germany gives him what he needs. It could return confidence to him. Returning back to the home country can have a good influence on him.
Are you wishing harm on him? Wish him well on the way out, he wasn't good enough it didn't work out but christ don't be like that..
Why doesn't he? If he was being nasty then what i said stands. If he wasn't then I was wrong and I apologise.
Great news imo. Good club in a top league where he can play. Clearly better for him than never playing for us. Lol yeah that too.
